Sch\u00e4tzungen zufolge nutzen bereits mehr als\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/gsthr.org\/briefing-papers\/82-million-vapers-worldwide-in-2021-the-gsthr-estimate\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">80 Millionen Menschen<\/a>\u00a0Weltweit ist das Dampfen \u2013 eine weniger sch\u00e4dliche Alternative zum Rauchen \u2013 weit verbreitet, und die regulatorischen Auflagen f\u00fcr diese Produkte nehmen zu.<\/strong><\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p>Eines der meistdiskutierten Themen rund ums Dampfen ist die Regulierung von Aromen. Diese Vielfalt erm\u00f6glicht es ihnen, den Umstieg vom Rauchen aufs Dampfen individuell an ihren Geschmack anzupassen. Aufgrund der wachsenden Beliebtheit des Dampfens fordern viele Politiker eine strengere Regulierung der Produkte.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p>Weltweit stehen mehrere L\u00e4nder kurz davor, einen gewaltigen Fehler zu begehen, indem sie Aromen f\u00fcr E-Zigaretten verbieten: Das schwedische Sozialministerium k\u00fcndigte diesen Monat seinen Plan an, alle Aromen au\u00dfer Tabak zu verbieten. Die spanische Regierung ver\u00f6ffentlichte ihre\u00a0<em>Plan zur Raucherpr\u00e4vention und -bek\u00e4mpfung<\/em>, Diese Initiative, die das Dampfen als Ganzes grob missversteht, beabsichtigt, alle Aromen au\u00dfer Tabak zu verbieten. Insgesamt w\u00fcnschen sich Politiker eine Zukunft ohne Aromen.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p>Verst\u00e4ndlicherweise sind die Verbraucher besorgt. Erwachsene haben sich auf aromatisierte E-Zigaretten verlassen, um den Tabakgeschmack und die damit verbundenen Assoziationen zu vergessen. Ein Verbot von Aromen h\u00e4tte verheerende Folgen, und die letzten hundert Jahre haben gen\u00fcgend Beispiele daf\u00fcr geliefert, warum Verbote nie funktionieren. Aromen sind f\u00fcr den Erfolg des Dampfens als Hilfsmittel zur Raucherentw\u00f6hnung unerl\u00e4sslich. Wissenschaft und die Erfahrung von Millionen von Dampfern belegen dies.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p>Mehr als\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/academic.oup.com\/ntr\/advance-article\/doi\/10.1093\/ntr\/ntaa095\/5843872\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">zwei Drittel<\/a>\u00a0Erwachsene Dampfer verwenden Aromen ohne Tabak, von Minze \u00fcber Melone und Erdbeere bis hin zu Paprika und allem dazwischen. Diejenigen, die Aromen verwenden, sind\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov\/32501490\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">230 % h\u00f6here Wahrscheinlichkeit aufzuh\u00f6ren\u00a0<\/a>Rauchen f\u00fcr immer aufgeben. Ein Verbot von Aromen w\u00fcrde den Konsumenten nur drei gleicherma\u00dfen schreckliche Optionen lassen: die R\u00fcckkehr zum Rauchen, den Schwarzmarkt oder den Kauf von Aromen im Ausland. Die Universit\u00e4t Waterloo fand heraus, dass\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov\/34695685\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">45% von Dampfern<\/a>\u00a0Sie w\u00fcrden auf illegale Bezugsquellen zur\u00fcckgreifen oder wieder mit dem Rauchen anfangen. Das w\u00e4re eine regelrechte Katastrophe f\u00fcr die \u00f6ffentliche Gesundheit. Allein die Aromenverbote in Schweden, Irland, Spanien und den Niederlanden k\u00f6nnten die Zahl der Todesf\u00e4lle um bis zu 100 Prozent erh\u00f6hen.\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/consumerchoicecenter.org\/why-vape-flavors-matter\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">1,2 Millionen Menschen<\/a>\u00a0zur\u00fcck zum Rauchen.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p>Diese Verbote werden mit der Behauptung begr\u00fcndet, dass Minderj\u00e4hrige durch Aromen zum Nikotinkonsum verleitet w\u00fcrden. Abgesehen davon, dass diese Behauptung immer wieder widerlegt wurde, ist das Gegenteil der Fall.\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/jamanetwork.com\/journals\/jamapediatrics\/fullarticle\/2780248\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Geschmacksverbot in San Francisco<\/a>\u00a0Dies f\u00fchrte erstmals seit Jahrzehnten zu einem Anstieg der Raucherquote unter Teenagern. Eine oft ignorierte Erkl\u00e4rung f\u00fcr den Konsum von E-Zigaretten im Jugendalter ist\u00a0<em>\u201cGemeinschaftliche Haftung\u201d.\u201d<\/em>\u00a0Anders ausgedr\u00fcckt: Jugendliche, die wahrscheinlich dampfen, rauchen mit hoher Wahrscheinlichkeit auch \u2013 z. B. aufgrund von<a href=\"https:\/\/www.mdpi.com\/1660-4601\/18\/24\/13248\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">\u00a0Pers\u00f6nlichkeitsmerkmale<\/a>,\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/journals.plos.org\/plosmedicine\/article?id=10.1371\/journal.pmed.1003555\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">genetische Pr\u00e4disposition<\/a>, oder sozialen und Umweltfaktoren. Eine australische Studie legt sogar nahe, dass das Dampfen\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/athra.org.au\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/03\/Mendelsohn-CP-Hall-W.-Does-the-gateway-theory-justify-a-ban-on-nicotine-vaping-in-Australia.-International-Journal-of-Drug-Policy-2020.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">umleitet<\/a>\u00a0Eine Untergruppe von Jugendlichen mit hohem Raucherisiko greift nicht mehr zu Zigaretten. F\u00fcr Politiker mag das unbequem sein, aber um Teenagern am meisten zu helfen, sollten sie sich f\u00fcr h\u00f6here Familieneinkommen, bessere Schulen und ein besseres Gesundheitssystem einsetzen. Stattdessen greifen zu viele auf die leicht zu vermittelnde, aber erfolglose Strategie zur\u00fcck:\u201c<em>L\u00f6sung&quot;,<\/em>\u00a0n\u00e4mlich das Verbot.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p>Politiker scheinen entschlossen, diese Fakten zu ignorieren und beharren darauf, dass Aromenverbote sinnvoll seien. Dies gef\u00e4hrdet Millionen von Menschenleben und ist nichts anderes als Fahrl\u00e4ssigkeit seitens der Gesetzgeber \u2013 jener Menschen, die eigentlich auf die Bev\u00f6lkerung und die Wissenschaft h\u00f6ren und deren Wohl im Blick haben sollten.
