M\u00e4rz ver\u00f6ffentlichte die Food and Drug Administration (FDA) ihre Ergebnisse. <a href=\"https:\/\/www.fda.gov\/news-events\/press-announcements\/fda-issues-decisions-additional-e-cigarette-products\">angek\u00fcndigt<\/a> Die Beh\u00f6rde erteilte die Zulassung f\u00fcr mehrere E-Zigaretten und Tabakerhitzer der Firma Logic f\u00fcr den US-Markt. In ihrer Mitteilung erkl\u00e4rte die Beh\u00f6rde, E-Zigaretten seien \u201czum Schutz der \u00f6ffentlichen Gesundheit geeignet\u201d und ihre Vorteile \u00fcberw\u00f6gen die Risiken des Rauchens bei Jugendlichen.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p>Logic ist eines der wenigen Unternehmen, die alternative Tabakprodukte hergestellt und eine FDA-Zulassung erhalten haben. Im Oktober 2021 wurde eine weitere Zulassung f\u00fcr E-Zigaretten erteilt, und zwar f\u00fcr das Verdampfungsger\u00e4t Vuse Solo und dessen E-Liquid-Pods mit Tabakgeschmack.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p>Die Entscheidung der Beh\u00f6rde, das Dampfen zu erlauben, ist zwar eine gute Nachricht f\u00fcr Dampfer, doch die FDA hat die Tausenden von E-Zigarettenprodukten und -Liquids kleinerer Firmen bisher vernachl\u00e4ssigt. Dadurch entsteht ein eingeschr\u00e4nkter Markt, der die Auswahlm\u00f6glichkeiten f\u00fcr Verbraucher begrenzt und Rauchern den Umstieg auf weniger sch\u00e4dliche Alternativen erschwert.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p>Die FDA erkennt zwar die Notwendigkeit verst\u00e4rkter Bem\u00fchungen zur Schadensminimierung und die Vorteile von E-Zigaretten an, richtet aber durch ihre Bevorzugung bestimmter E-Zigarettenprodukte und die Einschr\u00e4nkung des Marktzugangs f\u00fcr andere Unternehmen absichtlich mehr Schaden als Nutzen an. Im vergangenen Jahr lehnte die FDA 55.000 Zulassungsantr\u00e4ge f\u00fcr aromatisierte E-Zigarettenprodukte ab, da diese keinen Nachweis f\u00fcr einen angemessenen Schutz der \u00f6ffentlichen Gesundheit erbrachten.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p>Die meisten Menschen, die von Zigaretten auf E-Zigaretten umsteigen, entscheiden sich f\u00fcr Produkte mit nicht-tabakhaltigen Aromen. Geschmacksrichtungen wie Erdbeere, Menthol, Melone, Honig usw. sind bei Ex-Rauchern beliebt. Viele bevorzugen andere Aromen gegen\u00fcber Tabak, da Tabak sie an den Zigarettengeschmack erinnert. Dies k\u00f6nnte viele Menschen dazu verleiten, wieder mit dem Rauchen anzufangen und damit alle Bem\u00fchungen zur Schadensminderung zunichtezumachen. Eine aktuelle Studie der World Vapers&#039; Alliance und der Verbraucherschutzorganisation Consumer Choice Center ergab, dass \u00fcber 7,7 Millionen Dampfer wieder mit dem Rauchen anfangen w\u00fcrden, wenn in den USA ein Verbot von Aromen f\u00fcr E-Zigaretten eingef\u00fchrt w\u00fcrde.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p>Seit Jahrzehnten sind die Vereinigten Staaten f\u00fchrend in der globalen Innovation und revolutionieren L\u00f6sungen in den Bereichen Technologie, Gesundheitswesen und Schadensminimierung. Doch mit den aktuellen Trends bei den PMTA-Zulassungen schafft die FDA f\u00fcr viele Verbraucher H\u00fcrden, die sie daran hindern, mit dem Rauchen aufzuh\u00f6ren und ihr Leben zum Besseren zu ver\u00e4ndern.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p>Zum Schutz der \u00f6ffentlichen Gesundheit muss die FDA viel mehr Unternehmen den Zugang zum Markt f\u00fcr E-Zigaretten gew\u00e4hren, damit diese mit ihren Produkten und Aromen dort einsteigen k\u00f6nnen.
