I en <\/span>interview<\/span><\/a> Sundhedskommiss\u00e6r Oliv\u00e9r V\u00e1rhelyi, som blev offentliggjort i g\u00e5r af Euractiv, sagde, at han h\u00e5ber, at EU's revision af tobaks- og nikotinafgifter vil blive "aftalt som en del af FFR-pakken" og tilf\u00f8jede, at "ellers vil sundhedsbudgetterne ikke modtage det bidrag, de fortjener." En sundhedsskat, der finansierer alt undtagen sundhed<\/b><\/p>\n

V\u00e1rhelyi har gentagne gange fremstillet revisionen af direktivet om tobaksafgifter (TED) som en sundhedsm\u00e6ssig n\u00f8dvendighed, men \u00e5rsagen til, at han har brug for den TED, der er vedtaget i \u00e5r, har intet at g\u00f8re med folkesundhed. Den er knyttet til den fler\u00e5rige finansielle ramme, EU's syv\u00e5rige budget, hvor tobaksafgifter er blevet foresl\u00e5et som en ny "egen indt\u00e6gt": en mekanisme (TEDOR), der ville inddrive 15% af medlemsstaternes indt\u00e6gter fra tobaksafgifter, til en ansl\u00e5et v\u00e6rdi af 11,2 milliarder euro om \u00e5ret, direkte til EU-budgettet.<\/span><\/p>\n

Stadig lige s\u00e5 skadelig<\/b><\/p>\n
