Det Europ\u00e6iske \u00d8konomiske og Sociale Udvalg (E\u00d8SU)\u00a0udkast til udtalelse<\/a>\u00a0om revisionen af tobaksbeskatningsdirektivet (TED) har m\u00f8dt st\u00f8tte fra forbrugere og eksperter. De opfordrer Den Europ\u00e6iske Union til at f\u00f8lge "en risikobaseret beskatningstilgang" og advarer om, at h\u00f8je, d\u00e5rligt udformede skatter kan give n\u00e6ring til sorte markeder, underminere sundhedsm\u00e5l og reducere lovlige skatteindt\u00e6gter i stedet for at sk\u00e6re ned p\u00e5 rygning.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

World Vapers Alliance fortalte Planet of the Vapes, at beskatning b\u00f8r afstemmes med forskellene i skadevirkninger mellem produkter. I henhold til denne \u201cmindre skade, mindre skat<\/i>\u201d"Logikken siger, at br\u00e6ndbare cigaretter b\u00f8r beskattes med den h\u00f8jeste byrde, mens alternativer med lavere risiko ikke b\u00f8r beskattes p\u00e5 samme niveau.<\/p>\n
