Bruxelles, 17. juni 2025<\/strong> \u2013 World Vapers' Alliance (WVA) har udstedt en \u00e5bent brev<\/a> til de europ\u00e6iske sundhedsministre forud for denne uges EPSCO-r\u00e5dsm\u00f8de, hvor fremtiden for tobaks- og nikotinpolitikken diskuteres. Brevet opfordrer beslutningstagerne til at prioritere skadesreduktion og sikre, at voksne rygere har adgang til sikrere alternativer s\u00e5som vaping og nikotinposer.<\/p>\n

Lande som Sverige, Tjekkiet og Gr\u00e6kenland er f\u00f8rende inden for skadesreduktion og fungerer som et forbillede for resten af Europa. Sverige er p\u00e5 nippet til at blive det f\u00f8rste r\u00f8gfri land i Europa. Gr\u00e6kenland har opn\u00e5et et dramatisk fald p\u00e5 seks procentpoint i rygepr\u00e6valensen, mens Tjekkiet har registreret et fald p\u00e5 syv procentpoint i rygeprocenten mellem de seneste Eurobarometer-unders\u00f8gelser.<\/p>\n

\u201c"De ubarmhjertige angreb p\u00e5 vaping og andre nikotinprodukter skal stoppe. Disse produkter er l\u00f8sningen, ikke problemet. Beviserne fra Sverige, Tjekkiet og Gr\u00e6kenland er klare: at omfavne skadesreduktion redder liv og fremskynder fremskridtene mod en r\u00f8gfri fremtid. Det \u00e5bne brev fremh\u00e6ver vigtigheden af evidensbaseret regulering og advarer mod politikker, der utilsigtet kan \u00f8ge rygerater ved at begr\u00e6nse voksnes adgang til vaping og andre produkter med reduceret risiko.
