Sofia, 18.02.2025<\/strong> \u2013 World Vapers' Alliance (WVA) kritiserer kraftigt det bulgarske parlaments nylige enstemmige afstemning om at implementere en et totalt forbud mod vapingprodukter<\/a>. Denne uigennemt\u00e6nkte beslutning truer folkesundheden og ignorerer videnskabelige beviser, der underst\u00f8tter vaping som et mindre skadeligt alternativ til rygning.<\/p>\n

Bulgarien har en af de h\u00f8jeste rygerater i verden, og den er ikke faldet siden den f\u00f8rste Eurobarometer-unders\u00f8gelse i 2007. Trods denne alarmerende statistik har regeringen valgt at forbyde alle vaping-produkter, inklusive nikotinfri muligheder, b\u00e5de i detailforretninger og online. Denne beslutning blev truffet uden ordentlig konsultation og vil sandsynligvis give n\u00e6ring til det sorte marked for usikre produkter.<\/p>\n

Michael Landl, direkt\u00f8r for World Vapers' Alliance, udtaler: \u201c"Den bulgarske regerings beslutning om at forbyde vaping er et massivt tilbageskridt i kampen mod rygerelaterede d\u00f8dsfald. Med en af de h\u00f8jeste rygerater i EU b\u00f8r Bulgarien omfavne skadesreducerende v\u00e6rkt\u00f8jer, ikke forbyde dem."\u201d<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n

WVA understreger, at vaping har vist sig at v\u00e6re et effektivt middel til rygestop. Dette forbud vil presse voksne vapers tilbage til rygning eller det sorte marked, og ignorerer vapings potentiale til at reducere Bulgariens alarmerende h\u00f8je rygerater betydeligt.<\/p>\n

\u201c"Dette forbud vil f\u00e5 \u00f8del\u00e6ggende konsekvenser for folkesundheden i Bulgarien. Det er simpelthen vanvittigt, at regeringen i et land, hvor rygning dr\u00e6ber tusindvis af mennesker \u00e5rligt, ville afskaffe et dokumenteret v\u00e6rkt\u00f8j til skadesreduktion."\u201d<\/em><\/strong> Landl tilf\u00f8jer.<\/p>\n
