Som reaktion p\u00e5 meddelelsen havde eksperter i reduktion af tobaksskader fremh\u00e6vet, at ved at g\u00f8re e-cigaretter mindre tilg\u00e6ngelige risikerer regeringen at \u00f8del\u00e6gge en stor del af den succes, den indtil nu har opn\u00e5et med at reducere rygerater, ved at afskr\u00e6kke voksne rygere fra at skifte til e-cigaretter.<\/p>\n<p>Desv\u00e6rre er disse argumenter faldet for d\u00f8ve \u00f8rer, og den 24. oktober kom den officielle <a href=\"https:\/\/www.gov.uk\/government\/news\/government-crackdown-on-single-use-vapes\">bekendtg\u00f8relse<\/a> om et forbud mod engangsdampe, der tr\u00e6der i kraft den 1. juni 2025 i England, Skotland og Wales. Denne politik har til form\u00e5l at l\u00f8se flere problemer knyttet til engangsdampe, som er popul\u00e6re blandt britiske unge, hvor en fjerdedel af 11- til 15-\u00e5rige angiveligt bruger dem.
