Helsinki, 17. november 2023 \u2013<\/strong> Den finske regerings nylige forslag<\/a> At \u00f8ge afgifterne p\u00e5 nikotinposer har f\u00f8rt til kritik fra World Vapers' Alliance (WVA). Den nuv\u00e6rende plan vil \u00f8ge prisen p\u00e5 \u00e9n nikotinpose\u00e6ske med cirka 2,5 euro. Dette skridt, der har til form\u00e5l at bringe r\u00f8gfri nikotinprodukter under tobaksbeskatning, ses som et betydeligt skridt tilbage i indsatsen for at reducere skader.<\/p>\n

Michael Landl, direkt\u00f8r for WVA, udtrykte sine bekymringer:<\/p>\n

\u201c"Finlands plan om at \u00f8ge afgifterne p\u00e5 mindre skadelige nikotinalternativer er dybt bekymrende. Dette reducerer ikke blot prisforskellen mellem d\u00f8dbringende cigaretter og sikrere alternativer, men det underminerer ogs\u00e5 direkte folkesundhedsm\u00e5l. Ved at g\u00f8re produkter som nikotinposer dyrere risikerer vi at afskr\u00e6kke rygere fra at skifte til disse mindre skadelige alternativer."\u201d<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n

Forslaget, der har til form\u00e5l at \u00e6ndre loven om tobaksbeskatning, vil omfatte r\u00f8gfri nikotinprodukter, herunder nikotinposer. WVA advarer om, at s\u00e5danne afgiftsstigninger vil ramme lavindkomstgrupper uforholdsm\u00e6ssigt h\u00e5rdt, da de statistisk set har h\u00f8jere rygerater.<\/p>\n

Landl kommenterede yderligere:<\/p>\n

\u201c"H\u00f8jere afgifter p\u00e5 skadesreducerende produkter rammer de mest s\u00e5rbare grupper h\u00e5rdest. Det er de samme grupper med de h\u00f8jeste rygerater. I stedet for at give dem overkommelige alternativer til at holde op med at ryge, presser regeringen dem tilbage til den mere skadelige vane. Dette skridt fra den finske regering er et skridt i den forkerte retning, der ignorerer fordelene for folkesundheden og forv\u00e6rrer social ulighed."\u201d<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n

World Vapers' Alliance udtalte, at de finske lovgivere ikke beh\u00f8ver at lede l\u00e6nge efter succesfulde eksempler p\u00e5 skadesreduktion. Sverige er p\u00e5 vej til at blive det f\u00f8rste r\u00f8gfri land i verden p\u00e5 grund af sine progressive skadesreduktionspolitikker.
