World Vapers' Alliance (WVA) har udtrykt sin skuffelse over, at Europa-Parlamentets udkast til rapport<\/a>on Beating Cancer st\u00f8tter ikke utvetydigt vaping for at bek\u00e6mpe kr\u00e6ft.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Udkastet til rapport, der blev offentliggjort den 25. juni, er en forbedring af Europa-Kommissionens udkast, som \u00e5bner op for forbud mod smagsstoffer og h\u00f8jere afgifter. Men ved ikke at formulere en klar erkl\u00e6ring om potentialet ved vaping og skadesreduktion i kampen mod rygekr\u00e6ft rammer Europa-Parlamentets rapport ikke m\u00e5let.<\/p>\n

WVA-direkt\u00f8r Michael Landl sagde:<\/p>\n

\u201cMedlemmer af Europa-Parlamentet har taget sig tid til at lytte til vapers og deres historier, samt til den store m\u00e6ngde beviser, som eksperter har fremlagt. Vaping kan redde yderligere 19 millioner liv i Europa, hvis de rigtige politikker bliver implementeret.<\/em>\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201c"Men Parlamentet har endnu ikke fuldt ud st\u00f8ttet vaping som et v\u00e6rkt\u00f8j til at hj\u00e6lpe rygere med at holde op. Det er afg\u00f8rende, at vapers forts\u00e6tter med at fort\u00e6lle deres historier og sikrer, at deres repr\u00e6sentanter forst\u00e5r, hvordan vaping har hjulpet dem med at \u00e6ndre deres liv til det bedre."\u201d <\/em>tilf\u00f8jede Landl.<\/p>\n

Europa-Parlamentets rapport placerer ikke eksplicit vaping i samme kategori som tobakscigaretter, og dette skal hilses velkommen. Men med en fuldst\u00e6ndig gennemgang af tobaksproduktdirektivet i horisonten og forslag fra Europa-Kommissionen om at behandle e-cigaretter som tobak til debat, skal vapers h\u00e6ve deres stemmer endnu h\u00f8jere.<\/p>\n

\u201c"Vi vil forts\u00e6tte med at k\u00e6mpe for fornuftig regulering af vaping i Europa og opfordre alle medlemmer af Europa-Parlamentet til at se p\u00e5 videnskaben og st\u00f8tte vaping som en skadesreducerende metode. Forbud mod smagsstoffer og afgiftsstigninger vil blot g\u00f8re det sv\u00e6rere for rygere at skifte.
