Ny forskning<\/a> viser, at bedre regulering af e-cigaretter kan redde livet for n\u00e6sten 200 millioner mennesker i 61 lande.\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n

Forskning offentliggjort i dag af The World Vapers' Alliance sammen med sin partner, Consumer Choice Center, har unders\u00f8gt 61 lande og deres regulering af e-cigaretter. Forskningen konkluderer, at med et reguleringssystem, der fremmer og tilskynder e-cigaretter som et middel til at holde op med at ryge, kan 196 millioner af nuv\u00e6rende rygere i disse lande skifte til vaping \u2013 et mindre skadeligt alternativ.<\/p>\n

I en kommentar til forskningen sagde Michael Landl, direkt\u00f8r for World Vapers' Alliance:<\/p>\n

\u201c"Selvom fordelene ved vaping som et alternativ til rygning har v\u00e6ret kendt i et stykke tid, viser dagens forskning, hvor betydeligt potentialet er: n\u00e6sten 200 millioner liv reddet. World Vapers' Alliance og Consumer Choice Center unders\u00f8gte 61 lande verden over og sammenlignede den nuv\u00e6rende andel af daglige og lejlighedsvise dampere. Storbritanniens progressive politikker for reduktion af tobaksskader bruges som referencepunkt. P\u00e5 dette grundlag blev det ansl\u00e5et, hvor mange nuv\u00e6rende rygere der kunne hj\u00e6lpes med at skifte til vaping ved at have en mere permissiv vapingramme i hvert land.<\/p>\n

Fred Roeder, administrerende direkt\u00f8r for Consumer Choice Center, sagde om rapporten:<\/p>\n

\u201c"Smarte regler for reklame for e-cigaretter til rygere, fremvisning af e-cigaretter p\u00e5 salgssteder for cigaretter, lavere afgiftssatser for e-cigaretter og offentlige sundhedsorganer, der godkender beviserne for, at vaping er mindst 95% mindre skadeligt end traditionel rygning \u2013 alt det, Storbritannien har gjort rigtigt, kan hj\u00e6lpe med at redde tusindvis af rygeres liv ved at hj\u00e6lpe dem med at skifte til vaping."\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n

I Storbritannien anbefaler Public Health England, et agentur under Sundhedsministeriet, aktivt rygere at skifte til e-cigaretter, og derfor er der blevet indf\u00f8rt meget progressive rammer for vaping. P\u00e5 grund af disse politikker ser Storbritannien bedre resultater med at reducere rygning sammenlignet med mere restriktive lande. I Storbritannien ryger cirka 25% f\u00e6rre mennesker i dag sammenlignet med 2013, hvor vaping blev popul\u00e6rt, mens for eksempel Australien, et af de lande med de strengeste vaping-regler, kun oplevede et fald p\u00e5 8% i samme periode. Frankrig, Canada og New Zealand fulgte en tilgang, der mere ligner Storbritannien, og ser positive resultater.<\/p>\n
