{"id":1312,"date":"2021-10-21T12:41:41","date_gmt":"2021-10-21T16:41:41","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/worldvapersalliance.com\/?p=1312"},"modified":"2022-05-11T06:40:58","modified_gmt":"2022-05-11T10:40:58","slug":"consumers-demand-who-to-listen-to-science-and-people-2","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/worldvapersalliance.com\/da\/consumers-demand-who-to-listen-to-science-and-people-2\/","title":{"rendered":"Forbrugerne kr\u00e6ver, at WHO lytter til videnskaben og mennesker"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Tidligere p\u00e5 ugen deltog 100 f\u00f8rende eksperter inden for reduktion af tobaksskader \u2013 inklusive WVA&#039;s videnskabelige r\u00e5dgiver, professor Bernhard Mayer \u2013<a href=\"https:\/\/clivebates.com\/one-hundred-specialists-call-for-who-to-change-stance-on-tobacco-harm-reduction\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\"> sendte et klart budskab til WHO<\/a>: <strong>Krigen mod vaping og andre alternativer skal slutte!\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Dr. Mendelsohn, en australsk ekspert, har tydeligt p\u00e5peget, at WHO&#039;s nuv\u00e6rende anti-vaping-tilgang vil &quot;\u201c<em>f\u00f8re til flere d\u00f8dsfald og lidelser fra rygning<\/em>\u201d&quot;og han har ret! Vaping har allerede hjulpet millioner af rygere med at holde op for altid. WHO skal endelig lytte til forbrugerne og videnskaben for at redde 200 millioner liv verden over.&quot;.<\/p>\n<p>World Vapers&#039; Alliance st\u00e5r fuldt ud bag eksperterne og opfordrer WHO til at genoverveje sin nuv\u00e6rende holdning til vaping og lignende alternativer. Vi pr\u00e6senterer nedenfor vores tre vigtigste anmodninger fra Verdenssundhedsorganisationerne forud for deres tobakskontrolkonference COP9 i november:<\/p>\n<p><strong>HVAD FORBRUGERNE \u00d8NSKER FRA WHO:\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>ANERKENDELSE OG INKLUDERING AF METODER TIL REDUKTION AF TOBAKSSKADER<\/li>\n<li>RETTEN TIL ADGANG OG OVERKOMMELIGHED FOR FORBRUGERNE<\/li>\n<li>FORBRUGERNES EFFEKTIVE DELTAGELSE I DISKUSSIONER P\u00c5 COP9<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Millioner af forbrugere verden over er holdt op med at ryge ved hj\u00e6lp af mindre skadelige alternativer. Skadesreducerende produkter (vaping, nikotinposer, snus og andre) kan redde millioner af liv. Der er en enorm m\u00e6ngde beviser, der underst\u00f8tter disse argumenter.<\/p>\n<p>Derfor anmoder vi om st\u00f8tte til alternative metoder til reduktion af tobaksskader og en retf\u00e6rdig repr\u00e6sentation under COP9.<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li><strong>Verdenssundhedsorganisationen skal st\u00f8tte reduktion af tobaksskader<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p>Rygning er en af de f\u00f8rende \u00e5rsager til sygdomme og d\u00f8d i verden. Mere end otte millioner mennesker d\u00f8r hvert \u00e5r p\u00e5 grund af rygning, hvoraf n\u00e6sten 991.000.000 af tobaksrelaterede d\u00f8dsfald er rygningsinduceret \u2013 ikke fra andre former for nikotinforbrug. At reducere antallet af rygere og give dem mulighed for hurtigt og effektivt at skifte til et mindre skadeligt alternativ b\u00f8r v\u00e6re en hovedprioritet for WHO og folkesundhedsorganer verden over.<\/p>\n<p>WHO behandler dog i \u00f8jeblikket mindre skadelige alternativer p\u00e5 pr\u00e6cis samme m\u00e5de som rygning. WHO er n\u00f8dt til at \u00e6ndre sin tilgang og st\u00f8tte skadesreduktion. Den skal fokusere p\u00e5 at hj\u00e6lpe rygere med at holde op i stedet for at spilde tid p\u00e5 at bek\u00e6mpe produkter, der g\u00f8r det samme.<\/p>\n<p>Trods Rammekonventionen om Tobakskontrols (FCTC) forpligtelse til at mindske tobaksskader forts\u00e6tter WHO og FCTC-sekretariatet med at opfordre til strengere regulering af mindre skadelige alternativer.<\/p>\n<ol start=\"2\">\n<li><strong>Garanter adgang til og overkommelige priser p\u00e5 mindre skadelige alternativer<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p>For at reducere rygerater skal vi bruge <em>alle <\/em>mulige metoder, der viser sig at v\u00e6re succesfulde. Det betyder ogs\u00e5 at sikre, at disse produkter er tilg\u00e6ngelige, \u00f8konomisk overkommelige, og at information om dem er tilg\u00e6ngelig.<\/p>\n<p>Vi har allerede eksempler fra den virkelige verden p\u00e5, hvad adgang til skadesreduktionsmetoder kan opn\u00e5.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>I Storbritannien anbefaler Public Health England, et agentur under Sundhedsministeriet, aktivt rygere at skifte til e-cigaretter. I Storbritannien er rygerater faldet med 25% siden 2013 (hvor vaping blev popul\u00e6rt). I mods\u00e6tning hertil faldt rygerater i Australien, som har nogle af verdens strengeste vaping-regler, kun med 8% i samme periode.<\/li>\n<li>P\u00e5 grund af \u00e5benheden over for snus, en form for r\u00f8gfri tobak, rapporterer Sverige den laveste rygerate blandt voksne i den udviklede verden med kun 7%. Resultatet er lavere forekomst af rygningsudl\u00f8ste sygdomme. Norge oplevede lignende succes p\u00e5 grund af sin \u00e5benhed over for snus.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>WHO skal afslutte sin krig mod vaping og andre innovative skadesreducerende v\u00e6rkt\u00f8jer. Anbefalinger om \u00f8get beskatning, forbud mod smagsstoffer eller fuldst\u00e6ndigt forbud skal tr\u00e6kkes tilbage.<\/p>\n<ol start=\"3\">\n<li><strong>Forbrugere og organisationer inden for tobaksskadereduktion skal h\u00f8res<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p>I de senere \u00e5r har WHO afvist forbrugernes og skadesreduktionseksperters deltagelse i deres beslutningsproces. Den er blevet en \u00f8 i sig selv, et ekkokammer for de samme tobakskontrolgrupper, hvis verdenssyn var fastl\u00e5st for mindst 30 \u00e5r siden.<\/p>\n<p>Medierne og offentligheden er udelukket fra at observere eller deltage i COP-procedurerne. At ignorere stemmerne, erfaringerne og den store viden fra skadesreduktionseksperter og forbrugere skader sagen. Det strider mod gennemsigtighed og god regeringsf\u00f8relse.<\/p>\n<p>Vi anmoder WHO om at oph\u00e6ve det faktiske forbud mod \u00e5ben debat under COP og om at etablere nye platforme med flere interessenter i dialog. Rygere og tidligere rygere, forbrugere af mindre skadelige alternativer samt uafh\u00e6ngige eksperter i reduktion af tobaksskader skal have en stemme, n\u00e5r det kommer til beslutningstagning.<\/p>\n<p>Vi opfordrer WHO og FCTC-sekretariatet til at st\u00f8tte nye tilgange og v\u00e6re \u00e5bne for innovation inden for skadesreduktion og holde op med at ignorere millioner af forbrugere og eksperter p\u00e5 omr\u00e5det.
