Nogle gange kan det virke som om, at politikere aldrig vil se lyset og omfavne vaping, men der er h\u00e5b, se bare p\u00e5 New Zealands 180 graders drejning.\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n

For ikke s\u00e5 l\u00e6nge siden blev salg og levering af ALLE nikotindampe og e-v\u00e6sker forbudt i New Zealand gennem udvidelsen af anvendelsesomr\u00e5det for Smoke-free Environments Act 1990 (SFEA).<\/p>\n

S\u00e5 sent som i marts 2017 h\u00e6vdede Kiwi-sundhedsministeriet, at der ikke var tilstr\u00e6kkeligt bevis for "til at anbefale e-cigaretter trygt som et rygestop" v\u00e6rkt\u00f8j.'<\/a><\/p>\n

Hvis vaping var blevet legaliseret, ville det have hjulpet med at n\u00e5 New Zealands m\u00e5l om at reducere rygepr\u00e6valensen og tobakstilg\u00e6ngeligheden til minimale niveauer, hvilket g\u00f8r det stort set r\u00f8gfrit ved at 2025.<\/a><\/p>\n

I stedet forblev New Zealands rygningsrater st\u00e6digt h\u00f8je, mens vaping virkede som en tabt sag.<\/p>\n

Og alligevel havde regeringen i oktober 2017, efter opr\u00f8r fra vapingaktivister, lavet en hel kovending og annonceret en ny politik for at st\u00f8tte rygere til at 'skifte til v\u00e6sentligt mindre skadelige produkter som f.eks. e-cigaretter.'<\/a> Deres konvertering blev senere underst\u00f8ttet af et regeringsdrevet websted, som uddannede borgere i fakta om vaping og dets brug som et rygestop v\u00e6rkt\u00f8j.<\/a><\/p>\n

I 2018 accepterede den associerede sundhedsminister, at der var "en generel konsensus om, at vaping er meget mindre skadeligt end rygning", og at regeringen skal sikre, at "cigaretrygere har adgang til en lavere risiko alternativ.'<\/a><\/p>\n

Dette blev fulgt op med en lov\u00e6ndring, som tillod, at alle vapingprodukter blev solgt overalt, hvor der s\u00e6lges rygetobaksprodukter. Sidel\u00f8bende med denne legalisering blev der ogs\u00e5 indf\u00f8rt aldersbegr\u00e6nsninger og sikkerhedsbestemmelser for produkter. Resultatet var et s\u00e6t afbalancerede, forholdsm\u00e6ssige regler, der sikrede, at voksne er i stand til at dampe frit som et v\u00e6rkt\u00f8j til at hj\u00e6lpe dem med at holde op med at ryge.<\/p>\n

New Zealands vaping-konvertering var fuldendt, og resultaterne var tydelige at se: efterh\u00e5nden som Kiwi-vaping-hastigheden steg, faldt rygefrekvensen. En logisk politik med logiske resultater.<\/p>\n
