K\u00e6re sundhedsministre,<\/p>\n

Den 16. marts vil du afholde en udveksling af synspunkter om Europas plan for bek\u00e6mpelse af kr\u00e6ft, som er fremlagt af Kommissionen. Som sundhedsminister og ivrig fortaler for sundhedspolitik har du et utroligt ansvar over for kr\u00e6ftpatienter og europ\u00e6iske borgere i hele Unionen. Derfor kontakter vi dig inden det kommende m\u00f8de med EU-Kommissionen.<\/p>\n

Vi mener, at denne plan ikke tager tilstr\u00e6kkeligt hensyn til tobak og rygerelaterede kr\u00e6ftformer. Planen lukker d\u00f8ren for rygere, der fors\u00f8ger at holde op med at bruge nye tobaksprodukter, is\u00e6r vaping, ved at v\u00e6lge afholdenhed frem for skadesreduktion.<\/p>\n

Kommissionens kr\u00e6ftplan har foresl\u00e5et at beskatte vaping p\u00e5 samme m\u00e5de som tobak, forbyde vaping i offentlige rum og behandle vapingprodukter og vape-smagsstoffer som det samme som tobak. Dette er en vildledende og farlig politik.<\/p>\n

Unders\u00f8gelser viser, at vapers har dobbelt s\u00e5 stor sandsynlighed for at holde op med at ryge permanent som dem, der bruger nikotinplaster eller tyggegummi, og der er videnskabeligt bevis for, at vapers er udsat for 0,4% af rygernes livstidsrisiko for kr\u00e6ft. Ved at forbyde disse apparater ignorerer Kommissionens kr\u00e6ftplan hundredtusindvis af vapers i hele Europa.<\/p>\n

Hos World Vapers' Alliance ved vi, at vores 13.000 vapers og 23 partnerorganisationer er meget bekymrede over udviklingen af vapinglovgivning p\u00e5 europ\u00e6isk plan. Hvis Kommissionens nuv\u00e6rende retning for vapingprodukter fastholdes, vil det f\u00f8re til \u00f8gede rygerater og h\u00e6mme eventuelle fremskridt i retning af et kr\u00e6ftfrit samfund. Denne plan vil ogs\u00e5 have regulatoriske dominoeffekter over hele verden. Derfor opfordrer vi jer til at s\u00e6tte EU-Kommissionens nuv\u00e6rende version af planen tilbage, da den ville have katastrofale konsekvenser for folkesundheden, som I kan se i dokumentet nedenfor.<\/p>\n
