De, der forts\u00e6tter med at h\u00e6vde, at vaping g\u00f8r folk til rygere, b\u00f8r tage sig tid til at l\u00e6se videnskaben.\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Public Health Englands (PHE) <a href=\"https:\/\/www.gov.uk\/government\/publications\/vaping-in-england-evidence-update-february-2021\">syvende uafh\u00e6ngige rapport om vaping i England<\/a>, udf\u00f8rt af forskere ved det ber\u00f8mte King&#039;s College London, viste, at vaping er den mest almindeligt anvendte metode til at holde op med at ryge. Rapporten viser, at:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Vaping er det mest popul\u00e6re hj\u00e6lpemiddel (27,2%) brugt af rygere, der fors\u00f8gte at holde op i England i 2020.<\/li>\n<li>Mere end 50.000 rygere stoppede med at ryge i 2017 ved hj\u00e6lp af vaping<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong><em>\u2018&#039;Lyt til videnskaben&#039;\u2019<\/em> <\/strong>\u2013 COVID har gjort os mere opm\u00e6rksomme p\u00e5 denne s\u00e6tning og dens betydning. Jeg h\u00e5ber, at anti-vaping-folkene rent faktisk vil lytte til videnskaben denne gang, i stedet for at udv\u00e6lge det, de vil h\u00f8re.<\/p>\n<p>Dette vigtige videnskabelige bevis kommer f\u00e5 uger efter Europa-Kommissionens forslag til Europas plan for bek\u00e6mpelse af kr\u00e6ft. Denne specifikke plan fastl\u00e6gger skridt til systematisk at begr\u00e6nse vaping gennem h\u00f8jere priser, forbud mod smagsstoffer og forbud mod udend\u00f8rs brug.<\/p>\n<p>Kommissionen m\u00e5 da se den britiske rapport for, hvad den er \u2013 en bekr\u00e6ftelse p\u00e5, at de bev\u00e6ger sig i den forkerte retning. Men i n\u00e6ste uge vil Kommissionens eget videnskabelige r\u00e5dgivende organ, kaldet SCHEER (jeg skrev om deres sidste udkast til rapport <a href=\"https:\/\/wvaold.wpengine.com\/wvas-official-response-to-the-scheer-consultation-setting-the-facts-straight\/\">her<\/a>), vil pr\u00e6sentere deres endelige anbefalinger om vaping for EU, som vil informere de n\u00e6ste skridt, Kommissionen vil tage i forhold til at foresl\u00e5 nye love om vaping.
