Da Consumer Choice Center henvendte sig til mig og spurgte, om jeg var interesseret i at lede en alliance af vapers, var min f\u00f8rste reaktion: det er meget personligt.<\/p>\n

Hvorfor offentligt annoncere, at jeg lige har aflivet en vane, der langsomt dr\u00e6bte mig? Men da jeg l\u00e6rte lidt om den politiske debat omkring vaping, inds\u00e5 jeg hurtigt, at jeg m\u00e5tte involvere mig.<\/p>\n

Debatten omkring vaping involverer flere akt\u00f8rer, hvoraf nogle har en alvorlig misforst\u00e5else af b\u00e5de videnskaben og hvad det vil sige at v\u00e6re en vaper.<\/p>\n

Store beslutninger om vapings fremtid vil blive truffet i de kommende \u00e5r, b\u00e5de p\u00e5 globalt plan, hvor WHO overvejer at regulere e-cigaretter som tobak, og med EU's tobaksvaredirektiv under gennemgang.<\/p>\n

WVA taler p\u00e5 vegne af vapers \u2013 b\u00e5de nuv\u00e6rende og fremtidige \u2013 over hele verden, og vil k\u00e6mpe for deres ret til at v\u00e6lge det hidtil bedst kendte flugtmiddel \u2013 vaping \u2013 for at hj\u00e6lpe dem med at bryde fri af tobaksafh\u00e6ngighed.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Hvis vapers ikke bliver h\u00f8rt i disse debatter, kan vaping g\u00e5 tabt, og denne massive folkesundhedsmulighed vil g\u00e5 tabt med den. Du har sikkert set fra min tidligere blog, hvilken dramatisk indflydelse vaping har haft p\u00e5 mit liv. Jeg er ikke unik. Vaping kan \u00e6ndre millioner af liv til det bedre, og vi fortjener bedre fra vores lovgivere og sundhedsmyndigheder.<\/p>\n

I takt med at vi st\u00e5r over for Covid-19, oversv\u00f8mmes netv\u00e6rkene om vaping med endnu mere misinformation. Folk siger fejlagtigt, at vaping er lige s\u00e5 farligt som rygning (selvom det er bevist at v\u00e6re mere sikkert), og at det kan sprede coronavirus (hvilket igen har vist sig ikke at v\u00e6re sandt).<\/p>\n

Pragmatikere som mig argumenterer for, at det er vigtigere end nogensinde at tilbyde en udvej til rygeafh\u00e6ngighed, og at folk, der har skiftet, ikke m\u00e5 fristes tilbage p\u00e5 grund af manglende adgang til vaping-produkter. P\u00e5 samme m\u00e5de kan de, der stadig ryger, ikke let ignorere den \u00f8gede trussel mod sundheden, som COVID-19 udg\u00f8r. De har mere brug for vaping-alternativet end nogensinde.<\/p>\n

Det er her, WVA kommer ind i billedet.
