Jak se toto vn\u00edm\u00e1n\u00ed tak daleko od reality posunulo?<\/p>\n<p>Britov\u00e9\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.nhs.uk\/live-well\/quit-smoking\/using-e-cigarettes-to-stop-smoking\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener noreferrer\" data-wpel-link=\"external\">N\u00e1rodn\u00ed zdravotn\u00ed slu\u017eba<\/a>\u00a0uv\u00e1d\u011bj\u00ed, \u017ee: \u201cNikotin je sice n\u00e1vykovou l\u00e1tkou v cigaret\u00e1ch, ale je relativn\u011b ne\u0161kodn\u00fd. T\u00e9m\u011b\u0159 ve\u0161ker\u00e1 \u0161koda zp\u016fsoben\u00e1 kou\u0159en\u00edm poch\u00e1z\u00ed z tis\u00edc\u016f dal\u0161\u00edch chemik\u00e1li\u00ed v tab\u00e1kov\u00e9m kou\u0159i, z nich\u017e mnoh\u00e9 jsou toxick\u00e9.\u201d Bylo prok\u00e1z\u00e1no, \u017ee vaping je\u2026\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/assets.publishing.service.gov.uk\/government\/uploads\/system\/uploads\/attachment_data\/file\/733022\/Ecigarettes_an_evidence_update_A_report_commissioned_by_Public_Health_England_FINAL.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener noreferrer\" data-wpel-link=\"external\">95% m\u00e9n\u011b \u0161kodliv\u00fd ne\u017e kou\u0159en\u00ed<\/a>\u00a0a byla schv\u00e1lena \u0159adou mezin\u00e1rodn\u00edch zdravotnick\u00fdch organizac\u00ed jako bezpe\u010dn\u011bj\u0161\u00ed alternativa, a p\u0159esto je pod neust\u00e1l\u00fdm drobnohledem.<\/p>\n<p>Pevn\u011b v\u011b\u0159\u00edm, \u017ee hlavn\u00edm d\u016fvodem t\u011bchto myln\u00fdch p\u0159edstav o vapov\u00e1n\u00ed je zp\u016fsob, jak\u00fdm m\u00e9dia o tomto probl\u00e9mu informuj\u00ed. Oby\u010dejn\u00ed lid\u00e9 jsou neust\u00e1le vystaveni tvrzen\u00edm, \u017ee vapov\u00e1n\u00ed zp\u016fsobuje erektiln\u00ed dysfunkci, oslepuje nebo je p\u0159\u00ed\u010dinou EVALI. Z\u00e1rove\u0148 v\u0161ak t\u00e9m\u011b\u0159 nikdo nezmi\u0148uje skute\u010dnost, \u017ee t\u00e9m\u011b\u0159 70 milion\u016f ku\u0159\u00e1k\u016f dok\u00e1zalo d\u00edky vapov\u00e1n\u00ed p\u0159estat. Pravd\u011bpodobn\u011b jedno z nejv\u011bt\u0161\u00edch v\u00edt\u011bzstv\u00ed v oblasti ve\u0159ejn\u00e9ho zdrav\u00ed za posledn\u00ed desetilet\u00ed z\u016fst\u00e1v\u00e1 bez pov\u0161imnut\u00ed velk\u00e9 \u010d\u00e1sti ve\u0159ejnosti i osob s rozhodovac\u00ed pravomoc\u00ed. M\u00edsto toho se ka\u017ed\u00e9 fale\u0161n\u00e9 studii nebo pr\u016fzkumu dost\u00e1v\u00e1 obrovsk\u00e9ho medi\u00e1ln\u00ed pozornosti.<\/p>\n<p>To je probl\u00e9m \u2013 pro ve\u0159ejn\u00e9 zdrav\u00ed, pro vapery i pro m\u011b. Kdyby se vl\u00e1dy \u0159\u00eddily v\u011bdeck\u00fdmi poznatky,\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/worldvapersalliance.com\/cs\/from-smoking-to-vaping\/\" data-wpel-link=\"internal\">200 milion\u016f \u017eivot\u016f<\/a>\u00a0by se dalo u\u0161et\u0159it po cel\u00e9m sv\u011bt\u011b, kdyby se n\u00e1sledoval p\u0159\u00edklad Spojen\u00e9ho kr\u00e1lovstv\u00ed v povzbuzov\u00e1n\u00ed ku\u0159\u00e1k\u016f k p\u0159echodu na vapov\u00e1n\u00ed. M\u00edsto toho v USA,\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.nytimes.com\/2022\/01\/12\/style\/smoking-cigarettes-comeback.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener noreferrer\" data-wpel-link=\"external\">m\u00edra kou\u0159en\u00ed roste<\/a>\u00a0poprv\u00e9 po desetilet\u00edch. Zastra\u0161ov\u00e1n\u00ed a nedostatek informac\u00ed o vapingu doslova zab\u00edj\u00ed miliony lid\u00ed, kte\u0159\u00ed se kv\u016fli dezinformac\u00edm boj\u00ed p\u0159estat kou\u0159it cigarety. Toto nep\u0159\u00e1telstv\u00ed v\u016f\u010di vapingu tak\u00e9 po\u0161kozuje statis\u00edce aktivist\u016f po cel\u00e9m sv\u011bt\u011b a jejich posl\u00e1n\u00ed umo\u017enit co nejv\u011bt\u0161\u00edmu po\u010dtu lid\u00ed p\u0159estat kou\u0159it je\u0161t\u011b v\u00edce zt\u011b\u017euje.<\/p>\n<p>Tito aktivist\u00e9 si dali za c\u00edl bojovat za sv\u00e9 pr\u00e1vo vapovat a nezem\u0159\u00edt na n\u00e1sledky kou\u0159en\u00ed. Bohu\u017eel se tito lid\u00e9 p\u0159\u00edli\u0161 \u010dasto ocitaj\u00ed v palb\u011b m\u00e9di\u00ed a jsou obvi\u0148ov\u00e1ni ze v\u0161eho mo\u017en\u00e9ho. Jeden aktivista mi \u0159ekl: \u201cNikdy jsem si nemyslel, \u017ee se mus\u00edm st\u00e1t aktivistou, abych p\u0159estal kou\u0159it.\u201d Je to smutn\u00e9 tvrzen\u00ed, proto\u017ee lid\u00e9, kte\u0159\u00ed dok\u00e1\u017eou p\u0159estat kou\u0159it, by m\u011bli b\u00fdt oslavov\u00e1ni, a lid\u00e9, kte\u0159\u00ed v\u011bnuj\u00ed velkou \u010d\u00e1st sv\u00e9ho \u017eivota pomoci druh\u00fdm p\u0159estat, by m\u011bli b\u00fdt oslavov\u00e1ni je\u0161t\u011b v\u00edce.<\/p>\n<p>Realita je takov\u00e1, \u017ee n\u011bkter\u00e9 \u010d\u00e1sti m\u00e9di\u00ed z\u00e1m\u011brn\u011b necht\u011bj\u00ed mluvit o samotn\u00e9m probl\u00e9mu, proto\u017ee v\u011bd\u00ed, \u017ee vaping m\u00e1 na sv\u00e9 stran\u011b v\u011bdu a skute\u010dn\u00e9 \u017eivotn\u00ed zku\u0161enosti milion\u016f lid\u00ed. Nejv\u011bt\u0161\u00ed noviny ve Francii se rozhodly ps\u00e1t o m\u00fdch bot\u00e1ch, sp\u00ed\u0161e ne\u017e o samotn\u00e9m probl\u00e9mu vapingu. Pro m\u011b osobn\u011b je \u00fatok mal\u00e1 cena za to, \u017ee mohu bojovat za vaping, ale je to \u0161koda, proto\u017ee to odv\u00e1d\u00ed debatu od skute\u010dn\u00e9ho probl\u00e9mu: jak zachr\u00e1nit \u017eivoty.<\/p>\n<p>Tyto \u00fatoky jsou ale je\u0161t\u011b hor\u0161\u00ed, kdy\u017e jsou prokazateln\u011b nepravdiv\u00e9. M\u00e9dia ned\u00e1vno tvrdila, \u017ee \u201codhalila\u201d organiza\u010dn\u00ed strukturu WVA. Ano, financov\u00e1n\u00ed z\u00edsk\u00e1v\u00e1me od Centra pro volbu spot\u0159ebitel\u016f. To je pravda, ale nen\u00ed to tajemstv\u00ed. Z\u00e1jemci o informace z novin\u00e1\u0159\u016f mohou nav\u0161t\u00edvit na\u0161e webov\u00e9 str\u00e1nky v sekci \u2018o n\u00e1s\u2019. Centrum pro volbu spot\u0159ebitel\u016f m\u00e1 otev\u0159en\u00fd...\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/consumerchoicecenter.org\/why-we-launched-the-world-vapers-alliance\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener noreferrer\" data-wpel-link=\"external\">p\u0159\u00edsp\u011bvek na blogu\u00a0<\/a>v\u011bnovan\u00e9 d\u016fvod\u016fm, pro\u010d podporuj\u00ed WVA, a zve\u0159ej\u0148uj\u00ed sv\u00e9 d\u00e1rce, v\u010detn\u011b nikotinov\u00fdch a tab\u00e1kov\u00fdch spole\u010dnost\u00ed. Nen\u00ed to \u017e\u00e1dn\u00e9 tajemstv\u00ed. Frustruj\u00edc\u00ed je, \u017ee m\u00e9dia mohou z ve\u0159ejn\u00fdch informac\u00ed vyklubat n\u011bjakou konspira\u010dn\u00ed teorii. WVA m\u00e1 ve sv\u00e9 pr\u00e1ci plnou nez\u00e1vislost a nikdo do na\u0161\u00ed pr\u00e1ce nezasahuje. Jak\u00e9koli n\u00e1znaky, \u017ee by d\u00e1rce mohl nebo by mohl \u0159\u00eddit na\u0161e aktivity nebo schvalovat na\u0161e ve\u0159ejn\u00e1 prohl\u00e1\u0161en\u00ed, jsou prost\u011b nepravdiv\u00e9 a fale\u0161n\u00e9 zpr\u00e1vy. Dokud tu budu, toto se nezm\u011bn\u00ed.<\/p>\n<p>Pro\u010d jsem se tedy zapojil? Bohu\u017eel je to pro mnoho aktivist\u016f b\u011b\u017en\u00fd p\u0159\u00edb\u011bh. Byl jsem ku\u0159\u00e1k, kter\u00fd za\u010dal docela brzy a nakonec jsem se stal z\u00e1visl\u00fdm na \u201cstar\u00e9 dobr\u00e9 cigaret\u011b\u201d, i kdy\u017e jsem v\u017edycky v\u011bd\u011bl, \u017ee je \u0161patn\u00e1. Ale v roce 2016 jsem se rozhodl zkusit vapovat. Nav\u0161t\u00edvil jsem vape shop za rohem ve V\u00eddni, dostal od majitele fantastickou radu a v podstat\u011b jsem od t\u00e9 chv\u00edle p\u0159estal kou\u0159it. Byl to okam\u017eik, kdy mi otev\u0159el o\u010di, kdy\u017e jsem za\u017eil, jakou fantastickou inovac\u00ed vapov\u00e1n\u00ed je a st\u00e1le je, zvl\u00e1\u0161t\u011b pot\u00e9, co jsem vid\u011bl prakticky ka\u017ed\u00e9ho ku\u0159\u00e1ka kolem sebe selhat ve sv\u00fdch pokusech p\u0159estat. Kdy\u017e jsem pracoval v n\u011bmeck\u00e9m parlamentu, uv\u011bdomil jsem si, \u017ee skute\u010dnost, \u017ee tolik lid\u00ed p\u0159estalo kou\u0159it d\u00edky vapov\u00e1n\u00ed, v\u011bt\u0161ina politik\u016f neslavila. Ve skute\u010dnosti cht\u011bli ku\u0159\u00e1k\u016fm zt\u00ed\u017eit p\u0159\u00edstup k vapov\u00e1n\u00ed, i kdy\u017e o probl\u00e9mu nic nev\u011bd\u011bli. To m\u011b natolik tr\u00e1pilo, \u017ee jsem se v tomto okam\u017eiku rozhodl prom\u011bnit svou v\u00e1\u0161e\u0148 v profesi.<\/p>\n<p>V l\u00e9t\u011b 2020 jsem oslovil sv\u00e9 star\u00e9 p\u0159\u00e1tele z Centra pro volbu spot\u0159ebitel\u016f, kte\u0159\u00ed\u2026\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/consumerchoicecenter.org\/why-we-launched-the-world-vapers-alliance\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener noreferrer\" data-wpel-link=\"external\">za\u010dalo<\/a>\u00a0spojit podobn\u011b sm\u00fd\u0161lej\u00edc\u00ed jednotlivce a skupiny, kte\u0159\u00ed na vlastn\u00ed o\u010di vid\u011bli v\u00fdhody a potenci\u00e1l vapov\u00e1n\u00ed, pod z\u00e1\u0161titou Sv\u011btov\u00e9 aliance vap\u00e9r\u016f (World Vapers Alliance). C\u00edlem t\u00e9to iniciativy je zes\u00edlit hlas v\u00e1\u0161niv\u00fdch vaper\u016f po cel\u00e9m sv\u011bt\u011b a d\u00e1t jim mo\u017enost m\u011bnit sv\u011bt ke sv\u00e9mu okol\u00ed. Spojit vapery po cel\u00e9m sv\u011bt\u011b, aby byli sly\u0161et, bojovat proti dezinformac\u00edm o vapov\u00e1n\u00ed a podporovat kampan\u011b, kter\u00e9 zajist\u00ed, \u017ee p\u0159edpisy budou navrhov\u00e1ny s ohledem na z\u00e1jmy vaper\u016f a ve\u0159ejn\u00e9ho zdrav\u00ed. A zbytek je historie. S hrdost\u00ed jsem se p\u0159ipojil k boji s aktivisty po cel\u00e9m sv\u011bt\u011b na obranu vapov\u00e1n\u00ed a k boji za to, aby ku\u0159\u00e1ci m\u011bli stejn\u00e9 p\u0159\u00edle\u017eitosti p\u0159estat kou\u0159it, jak\u00e9 jsem m\u011bl j\u00e1.<\/p>\n<p>To v\u0161e vede k velk\u00e9 ot\u00e1zce. Pro\u010d jsou aktivist\u00e9 a organizace jako WVA neust\u00e1le ter\u010dem \u00fatok\u016f? Mysl\u00edm, \u017ee jednoduch\u00e1 odpov\u011b\u010f zn\u00ed, \u017ee je to proto, \u017ee vaping v\u00edt\u011bz\u00ed. V\u011bda je jasn\u00e1, spot\u0159ebitel\u00e9 to cht\u011bj\u00ed a st\u00e1le v\u00edce politik\u016f (ale st\u00e1le p\u0159\u00edli\u0161 m\u00e1lo) si uv\u011bdomuje potenci\u00e1l vapingu ve sni\u017eov\u00e1n\u00ed \u0161kodlivosti kou\u0159en\u00ed tab\u00e1ku. Nen\u00e1vistn\u00edci budou nen\u00e1vid\u011bt, ale nezd\u00e1 se b\u00fdt n\u00e1hoda, \u017ee tyto \u00fatoky proti WVA p\u0159ich\u00e1zej\u00ed na konci velmi \u00fasp\u011b\u0161n\u00e9 kampan\u011b kolem Pl\u00e1nu boje proti rakovin\u011b. Vedli jsme kampa\u0148 za zahrnut\u00ed principu sni\u017eov\u00e1n\u00ed \u0161kod do pl\u00e1nu a proti mo\u017en\u00e9mu z\u00e1kazu p\u0159\u00edchut\u00ed. V\u00fdsledkem bylo, \u017ee jedna instituce EU poprv\u00e9 v historii p\u0159iznala, \u017ee vaping m\u016f\u017ee ku\u0159\u00e1k\u016fm pomoci p\u0159ej\u00edt na cigaretu, a zav\u00e1zala se ke sni\u017eov\u00e1n\u00ed \u0161kod. Krom\u011b toho ji\u017e nebyl zahrnut \u00fapln\u00fd z\u00e1kaz p\u0159\u00edchut\u00ed pro vaping. Tato v\u00edt\u011bzstv\u00ed byla samoz\u0159ejm\u011b v\u00fdsledkem \u00fasil\u00ed mnoha organizac\u00ed a odborn\u00edk\u016f, ale je nepopirateln\u00e9, \u017ee WVA v tomto procesu sehr\u00e1la d\u016fle\u017eitou roli. To z n\u00e1s ud\u011blalo ter\u010d.
