Trotz der j\u00fcngsten Fortschritte ist die Regierung nun...\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.mononews.gr\/business\/pharma-health\/apofasi-stathmos-apo-adoni-georgiadi-telos-stis-gefseis-ton-ilektronikon-tsigaron\">erw\u00e4gen ein Verbot<\/a>\u00a0bei den Aromen von E-Zigaretten \u2013 ein Schritt, der die hart erk\u00e4mpften Erfolge des Landes bei der Senkung der Raucherquote und der Verbesserung der \u00f6ffentlichen Gesundheit zu untergraben droht.<\/p>\n<p>Griechenland z\u00e4hlt seit Langem zu den L\u00e4ndern mit den h\u00f6chsten Raucherquoten in der Europ\u00e4ischen Union. Laut\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/europa.eu\/eurobarometer\/surveys\/detail\/2995\">Eurostat<\/a>, In Griechenland stieg die Raucherquote von 381 Personen im Jahr 2015 auf 411 Personen im Jahr 2021, w\u00e4hrend sie in vielen anderen EU-L\u00e4ndern sank. Dies steht im krassen Gegensatz zu Schweden, wo die Raucherquote drastisch zur\u00fcckgegangen ist und das Land kurz davor steht, rauchfrei zu werden.<\/p>\n<p>Es gibt jedoch auch positive Aspekte. Seit Griechenland 2019 die Schadensminimierung offiziell als zentralen Bestandteil seiner Tabakkontrollpolitik eingef\u00fchrt hat, konnte der zuvor steigende Trend des Rauchens umgekehrt werden. Die Raucherquote ist nun auf 361 TP4T gesunken. Dies ist ein bemerkenswerter Erfolg im Vergleich zur Stagnation oder gar zum R\u00fcckgang in anderen Teilen der EU.<\/p>\n<p>Trotz dieser Fortschritte erw\u00e4gt Griechenland nun ein Verbot von Aromen in E-Zigaretten. Dies ist ein schwerwiegender Fehlgriff. Aromen geh\u00f6ren zu den attraktivsten Aspekten weniger sch\u00e4dlicher Alternativen zum Rauchen und helfen Rauchern nachweislich beim Umstieg und beim dauerhaften Verzicht auf Zigaretten.<\/p>\n<p>Eines der h\u00e4ufigsten Argumente f\u00fcr ein Aromenverbot ist der sogenannte \u201cEinstiegseffekt\u201d \u2013 dass E-Zigaretten und \u00e4hnliche Produkte junge Menschen zum Rauchen verleiten. Die Daten aus Griechenland st\u00fctzen diese Behauptung jedoch nicht. 981 % aller Nikotinkonsumenten in Griechenland begannen mit Zigaretten. Nur 11 % begannen mit E-Zigaretten, Pouches oder Tabakerhitzern. Die Politik zielt auf das falsche Produkt ab.<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>Ein Aromenverbot w\u00e4re ein gewaltiger R\u00fcckschritt f\u00fcr die \u00f6ffentliche Gesundheit und die Schadensminderung.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>Ein Aromenverbot w\u00e4re ein massiver R\u00fcckschritt f\u00fcr die \u00f6ffentliche Gesundheit und die Schadensminimierung. Mit der Unterst\u00fctzung eines solchen Verbots w\u00fcrden politische Entscheidungstr\u00e4ger Erwachsene zur\u00fcck zum Rauchen oder in den Schwarzmarkt treiben, Leben gef\u00e4hrden und wissenschaftliche Erkenntnisse ignorieren. Studien belegen immer wieder, dass Aromen eine entscheidende Rolle bei der Raucherentw\u00f6hnung spielen. Ein Verbot ignoriert sowohl die wissenschaftlichen Erkenntnisse als auch den eindeutigen Willen der Bev\u00f6lkerung und bestraft Hunderttausende ehemalige Raucher, denen es dank Aromen gelungen ist, mit dem Rauchen aufzuh\u00f6ren.<\/p>\n<p>Griechenland ist nicht das einzige Land, das ein solches Verbot erw\u00e4gt. Sieben EU-L\u00e4nder (D\u00e4nemark, Estland, Finnland, Ungarn, Litauen, die Niederlande und Slowenien) haben bereits Gesetze verabschiedet, die Aromen in E-Zigaretten verbieten. Auch Spanien und Belgien denken \u00fcber \u00e4hnliche Ma\u00dfnahmen nach.<\/p>\n<p>Die Ergebnisse waren verheerend. In D\u00e4nemark beispielsweise ergab eine Umfrage der\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/tholosfoundation.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/10\/Denmark-DE.pdf\">Tholos-Stiftung<\/a>\u00a0Eine Studie ergab, dass 931 von 40 Dampfern angaben, es sei einfach, verbotene Aromen zu finden, was einen florierenden Schwarzmarkt befeuert und die Strafverfolgung untergr\u00e4bt.\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.journaldemontreal.com\/2024\/06\/09\/nos-pires-scenarios-se-sont-realises-des-vapoteurs-se-rabattent-sur-la-cigarette\">Quebec<\/a>, 361.400 der urspr\u00fcnglichen Dampfer kehrten nur sechs Monate nach dem Verbot von Aromen zum Rauchen zur\u00fcck.<\/p>\n<p>Der Gesamtansatz der EU zur Tabakschadensminderung scheitert ebenfalls. Die EU strebt eine Raucherquote von 51 % bis 2040 an, doch der aktuelle Trend deutet darauf hin, dass die Quote erst im Jahr 2100 unter 51 % sinken wird \u2013 ganze 60 Jahre nach dem Ziel, wie Eurostat berichtet. Schweden hingegen erzielt mit seinen Ma\u00dfnahmen zur Schadensminderung echte Erfolge und steht kurz davor, rauchfrei zu werden.<\/p>\n<div class=\"midarticle-ads\">\n<div id=\"adsuiteScrollAd\"><\/div>\n<\/div>\n<p>Die wissenschaftlichen Erkenntnisse sind eindeutig: Aromen erh\u00f6hen die Wahrscheinlichkeit von\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov\/32501490\/\">Raucherentw\u00f6hnung bis 230%<\/a>. Nur\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov\/pmc\/articles\/PMC10576309\/\">2,111 \u00a3 pro 400 Dampfer berichten \u00fcber Tabakkonsum.<\/a>\u00a0als ihre exklusive Geschmacksrichtung, w\u00e4hrend der Rest verschiedene Geschmacksrichtungen konsumiert.<\/p>\n<p>Die politischen Entscheidungstr\u00e4ger m\u00fcssen sich an den Fakten orientieren und auf die Verbraucher h\u00f6ren.\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/worldvapersalliance.com\/de_de\/every-life-counts\/\">100.000 Menschen<\/a>\u00a0haben die Petition der World Vapers&#039; Alliance gegen ein Aromenverbot unterzeichnet, und die Konsultation der EU-Kommission aus dem Jahr 2023 zeigte, dass ein\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/tholosfoundation.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/05\/Tholos_Policy_Paper_v71.pdf\">Die Mehrheit bef\u00fcrwortet Schadensminderung<\/a>\u00a0Produkte, einschlie\u00dflich Aromen.<\/p>\n<p>Wenn es Griechenland ernst damit ist, die Raucherquote zu senken und die \u00f6ffentliche Gesundheit zu sch\u00fctzen, muss es die Schadensminimierung weiterhin f\u00f6rdern und sie nicht durch fehlgeleitete Verbote untergraben.
